We’ve had our heads down working on this project for quite a while now.  One of the frustrating aspects of building your own engine (there are many) is that the technology is being constructed at the same time as the art, so it takes a very long time before you get to see any results.  However, when the two finally do come together, it can be quite exhilarating.  Two completely opposing ways of viewing the world are growing together, and the final creation is something that’s far greater than the sum of its parts.  How cool is that?  Anyways, enough poetic waxing.  You’re here to see the pretty pictures, so we’ll provide.

We do want to emphasize that these are very early shots of our demo world.  We’re currently in the process of finding our aesthetic, so a lot will certainly change over the course of development.  Hell, our game may end up looking nothing like these pictures.  Also, many ‘filler’ objects and effects remain to be added to these scenes, and a few of the textures are placeholder images until we can create our own, and… well, you get the idea.  It’s early, it’s raw, but it’s already starting to shape up well and we wanted to share.  Enjoy!

Our world will be a rabbit warren of buildings and industry.

The stage is set, and the city will soon come alive.

There will be much to explore, including interior spaces.

The coastal nature of the city will play a very large part in our story.

Each district of the city will have its own secrets to discover.
